Manitoba Peer-to-Peer Network

The Manitoba Peer-to-Peer Network is a resource for those in the health-care profession looking to improve the management of patient care with an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Moving to an electronic medical record is a big decision. Manitoba Peer Leaders are available to help others on the journey to implementing an EMR. This service is available to community-
based physicians or specialists, nurses or nurse practitioners or clinic coordinators (managers or support staff).

Peer leaders act as coaches and advisors. They can answer questions or direct others to specialized resources about EMR systems. Peer leaders can offer advice and assist with:

  • understanding benefits of an EMR
  • selecting a vendor and an EMR product
  • implementing an EMR
  • using EMRs in a practice setting
  • hosting visits to their EMR-enabled practice

Peer-to-peer support and services

Our supports and services are here to help you introduce and incorporate an EMR into your practice - from deciding whether an EMR is right for you to learning new ways of using the system to get the most value.
