Save the date! Tuesday, October 26, 2010 is the second annual Manitoba eHealth conference. This is your opportunity to stay connected to the challenges, progress and successes related to eHealth initiatives. This year’s theme is “Connected: Information to Action.”

Speakers will share their knowledge on how information systems enable the health care system in Manitoba, and speak to experiences and challenges of implementing information systems solutions within the health care sector. The conference is focusing on four tracks: innovation, hospital care, primary care and community care.

Last year’s event was sold out so register early. Registration $175.00 and includes breakfast, lunch, admission to all speaker sessions, and networking opportunities.

Keynote speaker:
Dr. Kathryn J. Hannah, RN, PhD
Dr. Kathryn J. Hannah is a nurse and a senior health informatics consultant specializing in information management in health environments. With over 30 years of experience in academia, health care delivery, government and the private sector, Dr. Hannah has a rich depth of knowledge and experience in health care delivery organizations, the health system and in nursing.

Kathryn will provide a clinician's reflection on the evolution and progress in health information and ICT as well as envisioning potential future directions and contributions towards a high quality and sustainable health care system.

Panel Presentation:
Dr. Hannah will also moderate a panel discussion featuring Lori Lamont (WRHA), Shelley Lipon (Canada Health Infoway), Dr. Luis Oppenheimer (WRHA), and Tom Fogg (Manitoba eHealth) as they discuss the subject “how can we pick up the pace to implement solutions?”

Panelists will share their perspectives based on their own experiences on executing information technology solutions in healthcare.
