Manitoba’s Nursing Peer-to-Peer Network supports Manitoba's health care nursing and team colleagues by sharing experiences, offering advise and providing knowledge on implementing, engaging and using electronic clinical information systems within the practice setting.

Manitoba Nursing Peer Leaders
Nursing Peer Leaders can assist nurses, nurse managers and their team by:

  • Answering questions on the impacts, benefits and optimal use of technology in a practice setting
  • Jointly identifying common and unique barriers and exchanging advice on the application of health care technology
  • Providing advice on lessons learned about implementation and change management strategies
  • Facilitating demonstrations and site visits where successful implementations have occurred
  • Raising awareness of Manitoba's Electronic Health Record Project and the benefits of using an electronic health record
  • Acting as a point of reference for Pan-Canadian initiatives 

Who are the Nursing Peer Leaders?
Nursing Peer Leaders have years of nursing, management and policy experience in a range of clinical settings, as well as experience implementing and working with a variety of electronic clinical information systems. Learn more about Manitoba's Nursing Peer Leaders.

Project Background
The Nursing Peer-to-Peer Network project was initiated in October 2009, with the primary objective of accelerating the adoption of electronic health records solutions and related technologies within clinical practice settings.
